Position Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Finance Officer to join our organization. The Finance Officer will be responsible for all financial operations in all offices, supporting GNMOZ’s mission through effective financial management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Financial oversight of all financial operations and practices in the Country office;
  • Compliance with all local laws relating to accounting, finance;
  • Compliance with all GNMOZ policies & procedures, donor requirements and country rules;
  • Accounting and operating information is complete and reliable (to CDs, to Regional Office, to HQ, to Donors);
  • Any instances of financial misconduct/fraud;
  • Effective collaboration with donors, banks, contractors, government officials and other partners in relation to financial issues;
  • That issues raised by internal/external auditors are addressed and resolved in a timely manner;
  • Training and support to all GNM staff on financial policies, procedures and practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the NGO sector;
  • Strong knowledge of financial practices;
  • Proficiency in Online Quickbook;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Languages

  • Proficiency in Portuguese and English.
