Position Overview
The HR Officer / PSEA Focal Point is responsible for managing the day-to-day Human Resources operations for The MENTOR Initiative in Mozambique and leading the in-country implementation, awareness, and monitoring of Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (PSEAH), Safeguarding, and Code of Conduct policies.
Reporting directly to the Operations & Finance Coordinator (with a functional reporting line to the HQ Safeguarding Focal Point), the Officer ensures that national staff management fully complies with Mozambican Labor Law and MENTOR internal regulations, while fostering a safe, ethical, inclusive, and transparent working environment.
Zero-Tolerance Policy
The MENTOR Initiative applies a zero-tolerance approach to sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (PSEAH), as well as fraud and unethical behavior. Background checks with previous employers regarding adherence to international codes of conduct will be conducted prior to appointment.
